Rajasthan: Four new medical colleges expected to start admission process from upcoming session, says official

Four new medical colleges in Rajasthan are expected to commence their admission process from the upcoming academic session as told by an official on Tuesday. Chaired by the Chief Secretary Usha Sharma, the empowered committee of the Medical Education Department held a meeting on Tuesday as well. The new medical colleges are in the Ganganagar, Chittorgarh, Sirohi and Dholpur districts. It was further told by the department’s Principal Secretary that efforts are being undertaken to begin the admission process in the medical colleges of these districts from the upcoming academic session.The official further informed officials in a statement that educational buildings, hostels for residents, nurses and interns, teachers’ residences and sports grounds are being built in the medical colleges. Principal Secretary Vaibhav Galriya further stated that while a majority of the work has been finished, the remaining work will be finished soon.Concerned department officials were also directed by the Chief Secretary to finish all facilities and essential work in the new medical colleges as soon as possible.
